Welcome

The Nordic Society for Middle Eastern Studies (NSMES) is an independent and non-profit association for researchers in the Nordic countries working on the Middle East and Islam. It covers all subjects in the humanities and social sciences, from antiquity to the present day. Currently, the Society has ordinary members in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden, and corresponding members based elsewhere in the world.
